Below you will find answers to the most common questions related to the Dutch courses.
The most common questions:
Do you issue a certificate at the end of the course?
We cannot issue certificates, as we are not a school. Meerhoven Internationals Platform is a volunteer organization which helps internationals in the neighborhood to socialize and integrate. The courses are given though by professional teachers.
Can I follow a trial class?
Yes, you can follow one try-out lesson.
Are the books included in the fee?
No, you should purchase the books yourself online or in the bookstores. The book you need to buy depends on which group you are in. For the new semester the books Contact 1, Contact 3, Nederlands in actie and Nederlands op niveau will be used.
What is the tuition fee?
The tuition fee is EUR 260 for 16 lessons, 2,5 hours each.
How many students are in one group?
The classes are usually around 8 to 14 people.
What is my level?
For beginning students it is better not to overestimate their level. It is easier to move up a class than move down, so when in doubt subscribe to a lower level and you can always switch groups later on.
You can also test yourself e.g. here: http://dutchsummerschool.nl/dutch-language-level-test/
Where do the courses take place?
Depending on the level, the courses take place in:
- Basisschool ‘t Slingertouw in Grasland 1: https://basisschoolslingertouw.nl/contact/locatie-grasrijk
- Basisschool De Startbaan on Meerbos 16: http://www.bs-startbaan.nl/nl/contact
